Atlantic Television Limited “ATV” was formed to offer a service for the delivery of new and existing broadcast material via the Internet.

Using this service material from TV and Film broadcasters can be transformed into a multicast format and directly distributed to broadband ISP’s and on to end users.

High quality multicast (440kbs) can be delivered on a free, pay per view or subscription basis and can be viewed on-line by anyone with a broadband Internet connection and Windows Media Player 9 or upward.

ATV’s primary business is to offer low cost start-up (in comparison to satellite TV) via Joint Venture revenue sharing agreements although a bespoke solution package can be offered to clients' wishing to reach a specific niche audience.
ATV operates from purpose built film and TV studios and can offer all production and studio facilities based in Oxford 1 hour from London.(Paddington)

As our technology supplier, Global-MIX says “Multicasting of TV and video allows millions of viewers, with broadband connections, to be able to watch the same broadcast without the need to replicate the signal from source to destination for each unique viewer. every time a new viewer requests to see a channel, the signal is supplied from their nearest active node (ISP)”

The Multicast Internet Exchange (MIX) infrastructure is new and has been developed to provide the ability to broadcast live feeds across the Internet (one to many) as opposed to the existing method of creating a new and unique stream for each viewer (one to one).

As a result multicast transmissions ensure delivery of TV quality pictures without buffering or freezing feeds
